It's been a tough pre-season for the lady cavilers, maybe this will start them back.

Of all the blowouts I have seen and heard of so far this season, this one is about as bad as it gets...McDowell outscored R-S 59-2 at one point. The one thing that had me scratching my head was the coach for R-S Central. He didn't call a single timeout for three quarters, but in the final eight minutes of play he called at least 4 timeouts. The Lady Titans travel to Burns friday night. I don't even want to imagine the potential of this game being worse than the one I watched tonight. I may have to travel to Morganton tomorrow night just to watch a competitive ball game.

    Speaking of head scratchers.....

    Erwin - 33
    ACR - 29

I wasn't there to witness this work of art, but after ACR easily defeated Erwin earlier this year, I assume Erwin held the ball as the halftime score was 16-14. ACR only scored 4 points in the 2nd quarter, and 2 points in the 4th quarter.

I was there, Erwin nor ACR held the ball. Defense was intense by both teams, there was hardly any outside shooting and the paint was was quite busy to say the lest. A lot of missed shoots by both sides, I suspect the low 30's in shooting %.
