    Back at the Hill

September 17, 2009 — I am in the second week of my third year at Oak Hill. It has gone by so fast! I remember my first day here. This is like my home. I’m already thinking about how much I’m going to miss it.

My classes are all starting to get past the review & introductions and getting into the real work. I’m really trying to get my time management right this year in prep for college work next fall. My schedule is hard, but I’m ready for the challenge.

Basketball wise – I’m playing well and the team is looking good. We have a lot of work to do, but we are going hard. I think with this team and our schedule we will definitely make a run at a national championship. It won’t be easy at all, but this is why you come to Oak Hill – to get a great education and play the best.

    Coming to the Hill

September 16, 2009 — The first week of school hasn’t been as hard as I imagined it would be. Our whole day is pretty much planned out. One thing that I love about school is that basketball practice starts 7th period. That’s kind of a relief. It’s like getting out of school early.

Although the rules are very strict in my opinion, the hardest thing that I’ve had to adjust to is the “no cell phone rule.” I’m used to having my phone with me 24/7.

Basketball is going great. Practice, along with weight lifting, is running smoothly. It looks like we should have a really good team this year, so you can look forward to seeing us in the national rankings. I find it is easier here to keep up with my school assignments because of our mandatory study hall. From 8:30pm until you finish your homework, you have to stay in your room to study, which makes things a lot easier. So far, I can say that things are going great and I’m enjoying myself. I’m absolutely looking forward to our basketball season.

    Thanks.

At Oak Hill, they check in on Labor Day weekend,

and run & lift that night, at 3179 ft elevation.....

plus the driveway up to the top of the hill..

An amazing transformation takes place and when parents come to their

first scrimmage, usually against an Asbury College or whomever,

most parents don`t recognize their kids,...

all fiilled out and bulked up, and definitely in shape.

We`ll keep them coming and maybe some middle school kids will see what

life is like 'On The Hill '...& following the day day out of the kids will give

others some perspective as to their individual personalities.

Mosy have a preconceived idea of what theses kids are like.

but bottom line, they are just kids.
