    (1) NO WATER PROVIDED BY THE TOURNEY, NUFF SAID...

    (2) What a great opportunity to see and watch ALL my former players in the sweltering heat over the weekend working and playing hard ENJOYING the game in which they love! What an inspiration! :) Playing, playing, and playing and not one word or breath spilled out with negativism..Congrats to alll the participants and keep up the good work! :xyzthumbs

    looking for something to grumble about.......WATER???? :huh: howard and all involved will be proud if thats IT

    i have a cooler designed to dispense it if you wanta borrow it or heck.....give you one of 'em :xyzthumbs

    The Rock Hill tourney was a lot of fun. It was run well, the games started on time. The umps were great. It was very well organized and we have no complaints at all.( we did bring our own water cooler) :laugh1:
    The weather was a little warmer than what we are used to in the mountains but
    overall it was one of the better tournaments we have been to.

    It was a good tournament. Of the games I saw, the umps did a good job also as they were in the heat as well. But I do remember the Carolina Stars coach having a pretty loud issue with one call at home (and rightly so in my opinion- that was a really bad call, but those things do tend to even out over time.)

    I can not believe that there was no water. :huh: Just don't understand it.

    You will not here me saw this to often, but, the umps were pretty darn good. the best tourny so far this year.

    Congrats to all the teams, not just the winners BUT all that played!!!!!!!!

    IMHO!

    Well all I have to say is that I have no problem necessarily with not having any water provided in the dugouts except hmmmm how much is the entry fee?? If not providing let SOMEONE know!???!?!?!? Otherwise I felt the tourney was great as well... But when you have teams playin three or four games in 95 degree plus heat hmm asking for trouble i e litigation as well as not seeing any training staff present? hmmmm how much was the entry fee again? Can tell you this tho the DASANI 1.50 a POOOOOOOOOP!!!!1 :(

    "O" just curious and with all due respect......are you new to this coaching travel ball?

    we encourage the players to drink plenty of water the nite before and its repeated and repeated throughout each game and all the times inbetween waiting/preparing for the next game. this educates the players if they dont know this either! we also have two coolers for the team, one for drinking water and the other for "cooldown rags"(spirited ice water and not for consumation), while i personally have one for the wife and i that stays locked in the truck!

    wait till you take them farther south in the summer with the heat(this weekend we had a nice breeze):D and 300 bucks is cheap for a quality tournaments and is the average in this area. note: 400/500 range is what the going rate in VA/SC/GA/Tn for these type or better tournaments.

    "O" .......wish you had PM last week and we could have hooked up under a shadow tree and chatted! we finished Sunday and stayed with a bunch of other defeated coaches to enjoy the 18u, 16u A and B Championship finish and talked Softball all day! i agree with you........Great Tournament! :xyzthumbs

    Umps!

    I was disappointed in a couple of the umpires being consistently bad. Strike zone disappeared after the 5th inning of a no-hitter. :nono: Also, there was one that didn't no the rules(he had to ask mutiple times), and he called the bases before the play even finished.

    they attend most tournaments for one reason or another :thinking:

    one or two bad apples spoils the "whole bunch", i think not......overall great job by the umpires

    am new!!!!! Yet spirited ice water you mean the chlorine 1 to ten mix with crushed ice water??? AHHHH what a great and rejuvenating wipedown! Just thought the tourney officials would have let someone know?????????? I GENUINELY felt very sorry for the gurls out in the heat 300 or 400 still ALOOOOT of money to some folk you know what i mean???? PM me sure wouldn t mind at all to chat at a tournament! We are in Florence this weekend JUST thrusday and Friday tho as far as myself!!!!!! :xyzthumbs :xyzthumbs
