    My #1

Sad to say I couldn't get my sweet 16 up before the new one came out...but I'll post my #1 anyway. #1 West Stanly. I know you guys may think I'm a little biased because I follow West, but based on what West had done thus far in the season...I believe they are the #1 team as of right now. DCL26 (don't take this wrong, i'm not trying to call you out or anything, just responding), you said that "to be the best, you have to beat the best." Well, West has beaten the presumed "best" already. They beat Providence and went toe to toe with Independence w/o their full squads, and as we know...beat CC and NW Cab. They beat Piedmont last year with both teams basically having the same teams as this year. It just sounds like you're making their good start out to be a fluke by saying they have to "prove" how good of a team they are later on. They do have some tough competition up the road, and an undefeated season is very hard to come by. But based on how they've played thus far, they don't have to "prove" anything else to me about how good of a team they are.

...what or who does Sun Valley have that I haven't heard of/where did they come from? and how has East Rutherford looked so far?

Rice14, I also follow West Stanly, by no means am I trying to make their strong start a fluke. So far they have beaten quality teams, I think this team has the talent and chemistry to be special. We all know what opinions are like. In my opinion West has done very well. I believe if they can continue to play at this high level they could possibly go deep in the playoffs. As far as the rest of the schedule, Piedmont and Providence are two major hurdles. Last years game against Piedmont, West did win and yes West did beat Providence in a scrimmage this year. As I have posted here on TBR, I would love to see a Tyler Almond/Timmy King pitchers match-up. I would just like them to perform at the level they are playing as right now in these two games before I will give a number one ranking. No offense to what they have done so far, I am impressed. Once again this is my opinion.

This is a very good team, they have a stud left hand pitcher in Tyler Smith. He has a very good pick-off move to first, I believe he picked three guys in one outing this year. The test for them comes when they start conference play. I believe next week.
