    Thought it would be good if posters would share what their weekly job is. Maybe some of us could do business together or network some beneficial contacts.

    I run a textile factory that makes elastic and lace for the lingerie trade.

    What do you do?

    Interesting Stretchy. I am the controller for a textile company that makes knit fabric, much of which goes into....you guessed it, women's apparel and lingerie. Its a small world.

    My guess is we have the same customers and my lace goes on your fabric and we may have bought from you somewhere along the way....shame textiles are hurtin...

    I am an insurance agent with Farm Bureau in Hendersonville.

    I did work for 15 years at Day International where we made rubber parts for textile mills. We made cots and aprons for spinning yarn. I don't miss the plant.

    Yes, it is very sad what has happened to the domestic textile industry. Awfully short-sighted of our politicians to allow all our manufacturing jobs to get exported, IMHO.
