    But they still play the basketball games during exam week. Wheres the logic in that. I think the big problem with all this is the ones making these rules were probablly never athletes and don't have a clue. Workouts during exams don't hurt one thing!

    I guess the key is "Out of Season" .... Exam week never hurts any sport in season.

    Most rules are set not because of the majority, but because a few extreme cases of abuse occurred. I wouldn't expect any changes -- ever. The climate within the NCAA is to continue to stress academics and lessen coach/player contact off-season.

    If you look at the fact that 5% of HS athletes go one to play in college, and way less than 5% of all college athletes (when all sports are considered) continue beyond that point, it makes complete sense. The games should be about fun, school pride, etc.....
