Only 5 Runs?

    I heard yesterday that West Forsyth has only given up 5 runs this year in 24 games. Is this true? Can anyone verify this? What is the state record for fewest runs given up in a season?

    I guess if West Forsyth only gave up 5, then the new state record will be 5:229031_ha (if this can be verfiied)

    Nice Job Mendy McKenzie and the WF defense!!

    But that is for a full season, so WF still has a lot of games left im sure

    Yes they did play good d if they only allowed five runs. But they also played a lot of 1A and 2A teams. Yes they did win the games they needed to win and shouout North Davidson twice, however I would have liked to see them play a little toughe schedule non-conference. Just one mans opinion.

    playoffs in all classes should be interesting and entertaining!! :bananalam

    mikeL might disagree .........LOL not this year unless they pull what WF did last year??? winning in the playoffs RULE!!

    Went to the WF website to look at their schedule. Here are the nonconference teams they played- North Forsyth (twice), East Forsyth, Starmount, Mount Tabor, Hanahan, SC, Bishop England, SC (twice), Glenn (twice), North Wilkes, Wautaga, East Rowan, Forbush. Of these teams, I think 3 are defending state champs, and 5 are ranked teams this year. Then you add in the conference teams of n. davidson, Davie and S. Rowan. So I don't see a lot of 1A & 2A teams.
    With all this, WF apparently only gave up 5 runs in the regular season and South Rowan scored 2 of those runs.

    Just a few facts to ponder.

    Central Cabarrus has only given up 8 runs this season and only 5 of them have been earned
