I think MP will fight Weddington for 3rd place in the SW4A. MP has 3 quality starting pitchers (Cudney, Overman, and Balsley) and 2 relief pitchers that can supply innings too. MP offense is pretty good. Tightening up the defense will get them those much needed hard fought close victories against the better teams.

    Ardrey Kell 6, Watauga 3

    Watauga 3 5 0
    Ardrey Kell 6 7 0

    Winning Pitcher: Jordan Darnell 1-0
    Losing Pitcher: Tyler Moore 0-1

AK jumped out with three in the first. Watauga battles back using a HR from Adam Church in the second and two runs in the third to tie it at three.

AK gets the game winner in on Jonney Eaker’s RBI single in the fifth. Brett Nyenhuis drills the next pitch over the right field fence for a couple of insurance runs.

    Records: AK 3-0
    Watauga 2-1
