There are more 60+ pitchers than their used to be

as training techniques have improved but still far fewer than claimed. I saw a website for a pitching school in S Carolina that claimed 40+ pitchers who threw 60 yet the 'alumni' of that school were almost exclusively in DII. Most D1 kids can throw in the low 60's. You can get D1 batters out with a fastball if you can throw it 64+. There are a rare few D1 girls that throw 65+.

    Speeds

Leslie Drury JL Mann High School SC also Carolina Crush 14U. I have clocked her myself at 66 mph. Leslie was a 8th grader during this past season.

I'm not trying to stir a pot but someone needs their gun adjusted, a 8th grader throwing 66 and a 11yr old throwing 61 WOW thats better than the states fastest pitcher chelsea leonard did at that age, she barely throws more than that now. I,m not saying it's not true but I and many more I believe will have to see it to believe it. Anybody out there seen a 8th grader throw 66 if so pardon me. Maybe I.m just :rolleyes5::rolleyes5::rolleyes5:

What I thought some would think

I promise you without question these speeds are accurate for both. If you saw either play you would understand. For comparison the fastest girls I clocked during last years high school season and through the state championships in 4A were 62 mph and only one hit that. Most good playoff pitchers here in SC were 59-61.

Leslie led her team to the state championship game in 3A as a eight grader.
Remember this name because you will see her on the D1 level somewhere.
She isn't just a flamethrower either. She has good movement pitches and a killer changeup.

I don't know either of these girls personally and doubted both myself until I saw it for myself.
These girls are not you normal size girls for their age.

I have heard stories of 70 mph and then clock them at 56 so I am aware people say alot of crazy things about speed.
She will be playing 18U this season and is no longer with the Crush.

I guess sc girls must throw harder than nc girls, I do think I would have heard about these awsome and out of their league pitcher before now, anyway I'm done someone else will have to challenge this.

    Where did I say this?

I have no clue about NC pitchers and how they throw. This wasn't my intention to compare SC vs NC.
