Opportunity for talented Unsigned Seniors

    John Ackley with PrepStars is putting on an "Invitation Only" showcase for unsigned seniors. Please email John with your HS, statistics, Ht, wt and position. He will need this information to present to the college scouts that will be attending. It will be at the Lenoir Rhyne field this Saturday. Email, Private Message or call your information to PrepStars and John will provide detailed information.

    This will be a very small group (around 30) that will get direct access to about 12-15 college coaches. Obviously, you must act quickly to be considered for this weekend's showcase.

    Braves - I passed this along to a very good unsigned senior from Cary that will probably look into this. Thanks.

    He's currently looking at UNC-P and Louisburg among others, but maybe this will open some more doors for him.

    Any word on the PrepStars workout. Players? College/Pro Scouts in attendance? Anything noteworthy happen?

    I went and had a great time. I can't give specifics about how many players and coaches because I would get the number wrong and somebody would be upset

    But PrepStars put this together in a short period of time and it appeared that there were many coaches attending. It was designed mostly for the D2 and Juco's coaches, since most of the D1's have filled their needs for this year.

    I'll tell you what, the players were the winners. To be able to showcase their talents with a small pool of players (around 30) and the opportunity to discuss with a college coach their interest...is amazing. PrepStars even fed the players..unheard of. All of this for a staggering cost of $25.00.

    Congratulations to PrepStars and John and Joy Ackley in particular for committing themselves to helping the unsigned seniors in attendance. It was fun....it was great for the players...the weather cooperated...the coaches attended...the players performed...and I know there will be some signings because of this
