    Nope, not Davidson. It was an assistant coach from Campbell.

    I didn't know if it was bad etiquette on here to say the school or not?

    They may send letter at anytime, but the one's that really would mean something are the letters that are handwritten. It's always a good idea to attend a college camp of a school that you are interested in. They are allowed to speak to you directly. Also, if a school has shown interest, it is acceptable to go to their campus (unofficially) and speak to the coaches. But make sure they know you are coming because they may not have time to speak.

    Your assumption is correct, D1 schools cannot call the 2010's until July 1st 2009. What I did not realize though is that the D2's can start June 15th or at least I was told that by a D2 recruiter this year

    This is the D1 recruitment calendar drom Last year. I haven't seen this year's posted yet. But the dates will be very close



    August 1-31, 2007: Contact period

    September 1-13, 2007: Quiet period

    September 14 through November 11, 2007:Contact period


    November 12-15, 2007: Dead period


    November 16, 2007, through February 29, 2008,
    [except for (1) below]:Quiet period

    January 3 (12:01 a.m.) through January 7, 2008, (12:01 a.m.): Dead period


    March 1 through July 31, 2008, [except for (1) below]:Contact period


    April 7-10, 2008:Dead period
