Matt Wiley (Lenoir-Rhyne), 400 ft., game winning, 2 run shot Saturday against Nova Southeastern (Ft. Lauderdale, Fla.). Nova was ranked 29 in Div. 2 coming into last weekend's series, which they split (2-2) with the Bears. L-R plays a very good Pfeiffer team at 2:00 today at Pfeiffer.

Freshman Taylor MacCurdy (Providence HS ) also doing a tremendous job at shortstop for L-R. Weak spot in the L-R infield last year.

Rob Wilson (Myers Park '03) got the start today for Davidson College against Duke University. The game started at 3PM and is still underway.

Rob went 6 innings, striking out 6 and allowing only 2 runs with no walks.

The score (in the top of the 7th) is now Davidson 3, Duke 2

    OUTSTANDING !!!!!!!!!!

We have a kid from out-yalls-way on our team. Brennan Shore (RHP) of Ledford got his first win in the 2nd game of a doubleheader yesterday. Brennan pitched 2 innings of relief allowing 1 hit as we won in the bottom of the 7th with a walk-off 3 run homerun by Jon Gatewood (Princeton HS). LCC moves to 6-0, play NC Wesleyan JV on Wednesday and travel to Blue Ridge CC for a weekend series (4 games).
