Bill McKenzie here. Son Tyler just graduated from North Davidson, played for Lexington Post 8, & will be a Freshman at Belmont Abbey next week.

I played college basketball in Eastern Kentucky...Umpired baseball & Officiated (basketball) on college level until 1990.

You can pick me out of the crowd: the blimp who always sits by himself smoking too many cigars.

Thanks Braves...I've had a blast with the board this year. I intend to continue contributing...representing the Davidson County schools. I've passed this website on to about 10 others who are readers but not posters.

CF, I'll share a Coke & a stogy with you anytime. I sit by myself at games because I just can't stand ignorant fans. I wind up making people mad when they criticize a kid or a coach. Most parents have no clue...

CF is not your typical parent. He is one of the most respected contributors (coaches) to Softball across the state....and not too bad of a guy either:)

I'm Phil Briggs. My son is Zack Briggs. He is a rising soph. at Central Davidson and the Lex-Davidson legion Post 8 shortstop.

Zack started aau at age 9. Now he is 15 and a veteran of approx. 600 ballgames. I learned my baseball from his coaches. I studied everything he was taught. He had great teachers that would individually work with me so as to help Zack in our practice sessions..

I'm a technique person. I believe in fundamentals with emphasis on technique and discipline. Enforcing these ethics with talent leads to success in my opinion. I use these guidelines to determine what I consider GOOD BASEBALL and GOOD BASEBALL PLAYERS.

I enjoy TBR alot. There seems to be a lot of knowledge floating around which leads to this question-- Zack chose not to play football so does anybody have recommendatons or contacts for Zack to try and play baseball this fall?

Great thread and a great idea Braves .... you always seem to come up with the best ones when I'm out of town. Maybe I should leave more often.

I'm Bruce Porter. Son is Tom Porter, who is headed off to Elon University this fall as a RHP. I'm always available to answer questions and share what little I've learned over the years.

My name is David Parsons. I run caldwellbaseball.com for those who have seen it. I also am Administative Assistant/Athletic Trainer for Caldwell Post 29. I have been a stringer for the Lenoir News Topic and when I first got out of school, I was a stringer for the Hickory Daily Record. I love prep athletics. I am single with no children (that I know of :thud: ). I think that makes me alot less one school or one player specific.

I have been in the middle of some of the biggest online brawls on TBR. I am very very devoted to the HS programs in this area and I think before more people from this area were registered, I was the most vocal online member from this area.

Don't attack me too bad. :1peekdoor
