My name is Keith Bray and I have two sons involved with baseball. My older son Aaron played infield for Independence and will be heading to Charlotte on Thursday to start college life and play for the 49er's. He worked hard this summer and is looking forward to college ball. My younger son Robby will be starting his Senior year at Independence where he has primarily pitched. He has spent some of his time this summer looking at colleges where he can continue his education and baseball. They have both played Mint Hill Little League, AAU Baseball, Megastars as well as Aaron having a great time playing Legion ball this summer. I have found TBR to be very informative thanks to contributers like Bruce Porter and Tom Worrell amoung others. It has helped us in many decisions involving baseball areound the area.

    Ralph Diggs from Mooresville here........

Although my son has graduated from high school and finished his two years of eligibilty with Post 66 I'll still stop in from time to time, mostly on the preps football forum as I will continue to film for the Blue Devils JV and Varsity football programs. There is a possibilty that I'll still be up in the press box during high school and leagion baseball next year, but that will be up to the boss........and she runs this show. I'll also be posting scores and game summaries for the Lady Blue Devils volleyball team who just happened to go 28-0, winning the NCHSAA 3A State Title last season.

Braves has done very well with this preps forum and we all owe a debt of gratitude to Larry D for cranking this thing up and maintaining the finest preps board in the state.

btw......you can call Intimidator Coach, GRAND PA for short, he dont care!

Wow...we sure have a lot of experiences on here. I know for a fact that there are many parents out there who have gone through the HS process a couple of years ago that wished they had the resources that TBR provides. I know I continue to learn a lot from all of you guys.

I'm just amazed at the quality of posters that we have...thanks to all of you guys/gals that continue to contribute......................you are amazing :229031_ha

    Hey Everybody,

It has been too long since I have posted on The Board. I just got home the other day from a playing for the Chatham A's of the Cape Cod Baseball League and had a blast. Fortunately though, I am going back to Chapel Hill this afternoon, so I will be nearby a computer more regularly.

Anyways, my name is Robert Woodard. I am a junior right handed pitcher for the University of North Carolina. I played my high school ball at Myers Park, as well as for the On Deck O's headed by Mike Shildt. Over the past couple of years, I have been fortunate enough to work at various lengths with a pitching coach by the name of Tom House, as well as play for the Chatham A's for the past two summers on the Cape.

Now that I am home, I will be able to post more frequently. So if there are any questions about anything I have experienced, learned, etc. I will be more than happy to share.

I hope that everyone is doing well. I am looking forward to keeping up with TJ, Tom and runnin' into Jack on the Hill. Take care ya'll.

Was it anything like the movie Summer Catch? Was Jessica Beil (or however you spell it) there? Good luck at Carolina next year, except for the game y'all play Coastal Carolina if you play each other again.

I know that Robert would never mention this, but for those that don't know, Woody not only won the Player of the Week honors at the Cape, but he also was selected to the All Star squad. One of the perks to being selected is the players got to be introduced at a Red Sox game in Fenway and they were able to walk the field. Of course, rumors has it that Woody actually ran to the pitching mound and asked Francona if he could throw out the first pitch.......of course that was only rumors

Thanks Keith for all of your help from the beginning of TBR. You have raised two quality young men that I know have made you very proud...and I have been proud in following their successes over the years.

I don't envy you next year if Aaron and Robby attend different schools...

Of course there is a solution. Either they can attend the same school or...

    I'll adopt one:D
