Hopefully this will be a positive thread! List girls that have overcome injury, illness to acheive success at the game of softball. Success does not have to mean all-conference, all-state, etc. , but contributing to their team.

Not going to list any, that can be done by posters.:N1yeeaah:

the first person who comes to mind is....

Kendyl Waugh!!! With everything she's been through, she never gives up. My family had the pleasure and honor of meeting her in Florence last summer and came away learning so much. She is an amazing young lady, as has been said more than once on TBR. We hope she is doing well and pray she continues. In fact, our DD considers Kendyl one of her heroes.

Our DD dealt with two separate injuries that pretty much took her out of fastpitch last year, her freshman year in HS. Her injuries were very minor in comparison to what Kendyl has dealt with. She's back now as a sophomore and having a wonderful time thanks to the fine folks at Proformance Physical Therapy (Comadoll Watts Orthopedics & Sports Medicine). It's wonderful to see her back out on the pitching mound again. I know it feels even more wonderful to her to finally be playing again.

    Peace College pitcher Standsbury.....

....who faced the horror of losing her Dad, a good softball man who I'm sure was a very big part in her life. BTW, Ashley, threw an awesome game this week. I think it was a 3 or 4 hitter. Proud of you girl!

I have met this young lady in person and she stays so positive. Not much to add, we are blessed to see this Angel in action. Look for her at Lenoir Rhyne in the future.:N1yeeaah:
