Haha..you got me. But, it is rare to see at the showcase level. I would suggest that if someone is bothered with that, you play somewhere else.

Back in the day, you would play Hs ball in the spring and rec baseball in the summer. But then you had time to do other important things in life, Travel with your family, have a job, spend weekends at the field and with friends. Saturdays were also spent watching football, washing your car, helping Dad in the yard. Now if you want to play HS baseball, there is to much pressure to play showcase. So basically, to play HS ball is a year round committment. I appreciate the efforts in trying to get scouted, but some just want to play baseball. Its all about scouts and scholarsips now. I know alot of good kids that quit baseball because they couldnt make the committment. And in showcase, is the sky the limit as to what you can provide for your team and insure to insure it win? I just dont want to see Hs level baseball becoming a big business. Play the sport and enjoy life. Sure one day you will put on cleats for the last time, but hopefully you will have other things to that you have learned and experienced and you will look back on HS with alot of great memories, Including baseball.

    Ok time to

slow down. Question have you ever tried to play with 16 players on the team and everyone be happy? Now, tryu that with 30 or so. That is why you do not see football that big in AAU but they are trying>>>>>> http://www.aaufootball.org/ . As long as parents are willing to shell out the $$$ to see little Johnny or Susan get a trophy It is no more than being about the money. Just a little experiment... go out on the street and hold out a five dollar bill in you hand. Trust me some one will ask you for it or take it.:biggrinjester:
