I was recently at East Cobb for the Perfect Game WWBA 2014 tournament and I must say it was as good the second time around as it was the first time I went.
There was a thread recently talking about the 2014 and 2013 grads. I must say the 2014’s from Wake County and the Tri-9 were well represented. The Dirtbags 2014, Canes 2014 Central and South teams were there along with approximately 140 other teams from all over the country.

The Canes Central 2014 team finished first in their pool and 5th overall and is loaded with talent from the Tri-9 and Wake Cty. Some of the player highlights from online game changer and watching live were:

Thomas Yoder – Catcher (Green Hope) – Had a fantastic tournament at the plate and behind it. He threw runners out all weekend and managed the game from behind the plate all week. At the plate he picked up 9 or 10 hits, including a 2 run home run. He hit all throughout the tournament and was a real head turner in the clean-up spot.
Vincent Addona – Infielder (Green Hope) – had a very productive tournament collecting 7 or 8 hits, including a 2 run home run. He hit to all fields and did a good job going with the pitch. In the field he provided solid defensive support all tournament long.
Mark Stallings – 1B (Athens) – provided great defensive support all tournament with numerous picks and digs at first. At the plate he picked up 5 hits and hit the ball hard all week.
Jordan Towler – P/3B – (Middle Creek) – was lights out on the mound, hurling 2 complete games while only giving up one run and striking out more than a dozen. At the plate he chipped in for a handful of hits and played solid D at 3B.
Dillon Cooper – SS/P – (Leesville) – had a great tournament at the plate, displaying gap to gap power while picking up 8 or 9 hits. Defensively he was stellar at SS and provided solid relief innings on the mound.
Ethan Nazabal - C/OF – (Holly Springs)- Picked up multiple hits and RBI’s while hitting the ball hard all week long.
Zach Lancaster (Holly Springs), RJ Arthur (Holly Springs), Chris Tutwiler (Green Hope), Justin Christian (Athens) all from the Tri-9, contributed to the Canes Central’s strong showing.

From the Canes South Alex Yarem (Apex), DJ Burt & Brett Daniels (FV) and Evan Braband (Wakefield)
Tyler Sholar (Middle Creek) from the Dirtbags.

I am sure we will be hearing from these players in the Tri-9 in the upcoming years.
Besides Jupiter, I have to say the Perfect Game event at East Cobb is one of the best. The place was absolutely loaded with young talent. Great event…

    Question to Diamondcrazy.........

    :toilet-paper::toilet-paper::toilet-paper::toilet-paper:
And which one of these young men that you mentioned is your son???
When will we be spared from Daddys anonymously putting their sons names in print. IF YOUR SON IS IN THE LIST YOU PUBLISH, PLEASE ACKNOWLEDGE THAT; so all of us can factor it in. Thanks,:toilet-paper:toilet-paper::toilet-paper:

I found the post enlightening considering we haven't had much information posted about one of the premiere events of the summer. It's always exciting to read how our teams and players did battling against some of the best competition in the country.

You know when I first started TBR Preps many years ago I, too, felt a little uncomfortable when members started posting stuff about their son with hardly any mention of others. But I no longer feel that way. Personally, I wish I knew every members' kids so I could follow them all through their career. Their HS days go by way too quickly and it's fun to get to know the new members and their son(s.) When they post something that their son accomplished, I'm just as excited as they are. I just hope they include everybody in their post that had a great day, week or tournament...and that's what Diamondcrazy did...so for that I am thankful.

I don't care if your son is a star-stud or benchwarmer...if he did something worth mentioning...post it. I want to know.

And this is not a criticism directed to you extrainnings. I know what you mean, but this journey goes by too quickly...crow a little!
