    Charlotte Express - 0
    Florida Bombers - 5

    LP: Spencer Handel (CE & Providence HS) 4 innings, 4 hits, 5 runs, 5 BB's, 4 K's
    Relief Pitcher: Billy Enright (CE & Independence HS) 2 innings, 0 hits, 0 runs, 2 BB's, K

    WP: Brian Morgado (FB) 3 innings, 2 hits, 0 runs, 0 BB's 6 K's

A key error in the outfield and difficulty throwing strikes hurt the Express again. On a side note, Danny Almonte played for this team. The dad I talked to didn't know for sure if it was the one and same of the infamous Little League scandal of a few years ago but the boys thought it was.
The Express appear to have had the misfortune of being placed in perhaps the toughest bracket at the tournament. First the Cyclones which is arguably the toughest team out of Tenn and yesterday the Bombers who won the tournament last year. It doesn't get any easier as still left to play are the Louisiana All-Stars that tied for 3rd place last year and The Strikers Baseball Club which just lost in the semi-finals to the champions (All-American Prospects) of last weeks 17U WWBA by 1 run.

Cubs won 4-3 on a two out throwing error by the opposing pitcher. Sam Brown went four innings and Robby Bray threw the last two to pick up the win.

The Florida Bombers are comprised , I have been told, of kids entering the University of Miami. That explains why the Archer kid from Clayton is on the team. Archer pitched one game for the Dirtbags this year. The Bombers are going to be one of the top teams down there, among many.

Your'e correct....the Bombers have several U of Miami recruits playing for them and are always one of the top amateur programs in the country. I believe Chris Archer has signed a pro contract, so he shouldn't be with the team, even though he's probably on the roster.

Cubs win again. 2-1 over Calif Smoke. Don't know who pitched. Cubs now 2-0-2 and looking good to advance. Team is struggling to score runs but getting great pitching. Staff is Bray, Brown, Dail, Read, Sowers for starters/
