Can you believe this? SC Panthers came in 2nd place in the best summer tournament in the country. No team from NC has ever played in the championship game. I was told there were close to 500 recruiters from college and scouts from the pro level in attendance. Just two runs away from getting a "ring".

Last summer? Wow...I'm sure Andy will take me off his Christmas list after that faux pas (for dbacks that means a mistake). Dadgummit...I'm glad for the Dirtbags, but I thought I came up with a good trivia question, "The only team...."

Well, what if we forget about last years Dirtbags, so I can continue to be amazed

How about two 2009 pitchers throwing the last 2 games in front of all those players and scouts. Congratulations Matt Batts and Corey Roberts!

This is an outstanding tournament for those guys. Something tells me some team ball was played not just showcase ball. Congrats to the Panthers.
