I think that is what I said, concerning Fort Myers.

    Best non-collegiate amateur talent

I think dawgswood won't mind me modifying his statement slightly. The point being that if you are a highly touted baseball talent you know about, and are asked to be seen at this venue. :clapclap:

I think Dawgswood's point is that you either have to qualify or be invited by a respected baseball authority. Therefore, you can't just sign your team up and go. That, theoretically, eliminates most of the "daddy-ball" teams and the teams that don't have a successful track record.

Therefore, one COULD conclude, without that much of a stretch, that this tournament makes an earnest effort to attract the "best amateur talent" that it can find.

The flipside, if you choose to be a pessimist, is that there is probably a fantastic team or two that chose not to go. And, if you want to be a thorn, you could make a good argument that there are some individual stud players that didn't make the trip.

As an intereting sidenote, I was supposed to go myself, but I had a spelling test today that I couldn't miss. We've been working on our words that end in "ing." Such as: joking, messing, and laughing. These types of words give me fits!

    Did that help?

Agree. The tourney may not have all the top talent but it's safe to say Jupiter draws more than any other event.

Bumping this for those that have never been. This explains it pretty well.
