    The other day I was scrounging around in one of my son's old scrap books looking for some info a friend had requested when I ran into a old newspaper clipping. It was about the NC LL State Championship in 1997, in Boone. This perticular game involved Rowan LL and Waynesville LL. What really caught my eye was some of the kid's names on the Waynesville team. One is currently a teammate and good friend on my son's college team, another is the brother of a current teammate. This all got me thinking about all the kids I have come to know over the last few years, either personally or by virtue of TBR.

    I'd like to see some pictures. Not of your player NOW, but when he was new to the game of baseball. Don't give names, JUST PICTURES. (and maybe an age or year it was taken) I'll start:

    154 views...hummmmm....maybe it wasn't such a good idea....or is it too hard. Don't tell me none of you have any pictures of your kids. I know good and well you're as proud of them as I am of mine.

    Great idea, RC...

    maybe everyone is like me and just don't know how to attach a pic to a post.
    So I will try with what you taught me....


    Oh to go down memory lane...time passes way too fast!
    That was my lil one of 3 boys at age 9 playing in the majors in LL.
    Course he isn't so lil now!

    Come on TBRers...lets get this thread rolling!

    mini lesson on attaching pic for those who need them....

    RC's instructions....

    scan the picture to a file(ie My pictures or My Documents)
    go to the thread..click "post reply"
    scroll down ...under "additional options" click "manage attachments"
    click "browse"...find your file/picture...
    right click the file...then chose "select"
    you will be taken back to the "manage attachments" screen
    your file name will be inserted in the "file to upload" box
    click "upload" and the file will be attached to your post
    close the window...return to your post...you can add any script you want....then submit

    Piece of cake!
    Now let's see those pictures!

    Braves, NC, Dback20...I know ya'll have a favorite!

    different son...

    this is a pic of middle son who is 5 yrs older than his brother.
    notice ...same LL team.. at the age of 10 ... too much age difference for them to have ever played together on a team..a complaint I still hear today...why they weren't born like 1 or 2 years apart so they could have been teammates!
    And of course as the pictures show...one swings from the right side of the plate and the other from the left side. I still fuss with their dad that when they were little and he threw them BP, he should have made each take so many cuts from each side of the plate so they would be switch hitters today!

    My problem is I can't get my scanner to work...but I love the thread. I'll try to get something on here. I love the pics!!!!

    No Braves...your printer won't scan, you have to go buy a scanner :woot:

    I have a scanner, but I can't get it to copy pictures. All I get is a bunch of policeman talking

    Oops...gotta run. I just heard my name mentioned
