    No apologies needed...

... just all about the kids.
And when a couple of them succeed, YOU can be satisfied that YOU were a part of preparing them.

Now I need to get off this board and get the season cranked up - so the Cats can hopefully do better than 4th.:xyxwave:

Don't forget Eric Corlette at East Forsyth and Matt Horkey at Ragsdale.

I saw Eric Corlette pitch last fall and his velocity was up, good movement on his pitches and was throwing a lot of strikes - looked good. Good luck Catcoach and we will see you on the 23rd.

Have always liked Corlette - keeps ball down, moves spots and changes speed, pounds zone - and all while quietly going about his business. He threw well last season when called on, but just had two seniors that got HOT and threw a lot of low pitch count, complete games for East.

And Swim is Swim. No bigger competitor to go along with good stuff. Still looking for a win against him.................

Kind of where thread started - good, solid pitching conference - even past the guys whose names appear on PG. Guys you haven't heard of have pretty good stuff, compete at a high level, and can beat anybody.

Hey, if it was easy, anybody could do it - and it wouldn't be as much fun.

This conference has taken a big hit with regards to a couple of the big name pitchers. SWG and UNC signee Matt Orth just had Tommy John surgery and I also heard that E Forsyth's Scudder has transferred to another Forsyth County school.

    Scudder

He hasn't gone anywhere I work with a lot of the East players every week and I know for a fact that he is still there!

So who has the toughest non conference schedule? East starts out with southeast guilford then south stokes.

East will again be a well rounded team this season. A nice blend of upper class men as well as some very talented 10th graders. I really like their pitching this season. The addition of these young players will be a nice addition to their pitching staff as well as another young rising catcher. Glenn will of course be tough in many areas. Their middle infield will be tough as well as their solid outfield. Northwest and Southwest will be a challenge an then HPC will have to be dealt with. All in all, this conference will be tough and each ge will be very important.
