    Have to educate themselves and not be afraid to offer their concerns to the coaching staff. Not during the game, but if there are concerns (and we all know up front where there are coaches to be concerned with) , set a pitch count with the coach prior to the season and hold him to it. I count every pitch my kid throws...but only for my reference, since he's lucky enough to play for a guy that understands the game AND has principles. Only had to pull him once (from the stands) , during an AAU game...that was comical.
