    Know who you are!

If our daughters learn the game, love the game, experience the game and give it their best, then who cares if someone writes about them. Everyone who gives their best at anything they do will know their successful. The interview mentioned with praise going to others is a great example of success, sportsmanship and humanity.

    Not Trying To Argue !!

True what you said, but if you don't hit the ball you can't win with 0 runs !!! Catchers are generally the best hitters on a team due to the eye constantly seeing the pitches !!!

Here it is point blank IMHO

Pitchers do get a lot of press, thats just the way it is, BUT everybody contributes in winning or loosing a game, it is NO one person show, my dd whom is a pitcher and every other pitcher better be thankfull for their players in the field unless they are good enough to throw 20 or so perfect games. The catcher is of upmost importance, she can make or break a pitcher, imo a pitcher and catcher has to be as one-each knowing each other like the back of their hands, also there better be some offense if your going to win-we,ve had several 1or2 to nothing games this year.To win consistantly it takes 9 not just 1 0r 2

Pitchers do work hard and long, my dd throws 49-50 weeks a year- before practice, after practice and all winter but I know girls that play in the field that work long and hard hours too and thats what it takes to be the best that you can be no matter where you play.

    step back a few feet

would a 43' or 45' pitching distance start to change the perception of pitchers' dominating so much?

I agree with 43'. in varsity, they may as well there going to be there at the next level, but on the other hand alot of schools aren't blessed with a good pitching staff and it's hard enough for them at 40
