Most of the time you will hear about impact players from the western parts
    of the state.
Besides Adam Warren the one player that everyone knows, who are some
of the other players from the east that will make a big impact on the up
    and coming season.?

With all the good teams from the east there should be alot.

One of the best players in the state....West Brunswick's Matt Cox. This kid can hit with the best of them; sweet swingin' lefthander, Matt can be a stud on the mound also.

Josh Dowdy Sr- Wakefield HS Raleigh RHP Signed with ECU - Josh is a kid that is upper 80s to low 90s with command of three pitches. The thing I like the most about him is he is one tough "man" on that mound. He will battle and do whatever it takes to get guys out. He's not a big kid but he has got the heart on a lion on the baseball field.

Garrett Davis Soph - CB Aycock RHP - I saw this kid at the UNC pitchers catchers camp a couple of weeks ago. All I can say is "WOW". Tall 6'3 athletic build and very smooth on the hill. They didn't have a gun on him but I could tell he was throwing gas during his bullpen session. One of the UNC pitchers told me he was clocked at 94 this summer. I wouldn't doubt it from what I saw. It's my understanding that he was the ace on his legion team this year. Not bad for a rising Soph.

Sam Brown JR - Millbrook HS Raleigh RHP - Tall kid 6'4 can really bring it and has very good mechanics. They have another kid you will hear about BJ Dail he has been clocked in the 90's. Millbrook could be a team to be reckoned with with these two kids on the hill they will be tough.

With the one and done playoff format all it takes is for a team to run up on one of these kids when they have their A game and there you go. Happens every year.

Just a few I thought I would mention there are alot more.

Strongest armed SS in the state: Garrett Gore (JT Hoggard HS) in Wilmington. He's also looked at as one of the best hitters.

The 3 best lefties in the state are all in the east.

Matt Cox, West Brunswick, UNC-Chapel Hill
Garrett Bullock, JH Rose, Wake Forest
Drew Taylor, Wake Forest-Rolesville, NC State
