Playoff ??? re: mixed conferences

    The Coastal 8 conference consists of two 4A schools, and six 3A schools. The 4As are JH Rose, and New Bern. If Rose finishes 8-6 in conference, and New Bern 7-7 yet beats Rose twice(NB won 5-1 last night), is Rose still the 4A rep. for the conference?

    The team with the highest league winning percentage (there are only 2 4A teams in this league) would be awarded the #1 seed for the 4A Coastal conference in the state 4A playoffs, regardless of head to head W-L record. Only if the two teams have the same winning percentage will head to head come into play, and that will be only to resolve ranking for the conference tournament. The team that advance farther in the conference tournament would then become the league rep for the state 4A playoffs.
