I am not sure of the kid who pitched for Ragsdale. I think his name was Wes something. I didn't catch the last name. He pitched a good game. He was perfect through 3 and then Piedmont started hitting him a little but both he and Foard got out of some tough spots. Both got out of bases loaded with 1 out without giving up a single run. Piedmont @ Ashbrook. Rematch of a certain football game if I remember correctly. :D

You know, that is what I thought his last name was but I didn't want to make a fool of myself trying to spell it. I do a good enough job of that without having to spell. He pitched a heck of a game!

    Congratulations!

Congratulations to Gastonia Ashbrook on a great win against a great team! Individual congrats to Wes McCall, class kid and a great left arm!

Also congratulations to on a great season to a hard working and talented Tuscola group! Nobody out works those young men! They have a great support structure who take great pride in their accomplishments on and off the field. I know those seniors are disappointed but they have alot to be proud of and we have not heard the last of this bunch yet! There will be alot of weekend traveling for the families of these kids next college season.

    Myers Park's Victory

Yes, I'm back because of strong demand with only one goal in mind, to see how many players on Myers Park I can give props too and also to tell how Friday night's game should be as planned....just another stage for Myers Park to put their show on, as Bundini would put it......our win was from the root to the fruit. The win I saw at Cabarrus was one of the most complete victories in quarterfinals play ever. Central Cabarrus was extremely overmatched on both sides of the ball. Also, if I may add, greatly outmatched behind the fences on those bleachers, that weren't even able to hold enough people for a Babe Ruth game. When the fans arrived in masses from southeast Charlotte and saw the 355 in center field, we knew we would dominate the Pony sized field. As planned, it was just moments from the beginning of play until (soon-to-be conference player of the year) Rob Wilson went yard over the left field fence to score runner Craig Earls (pinch runner for my best friend Tim "O'Doyle" Kramer)and himself. From that point on, Central Cabarrus fans had nothing to do but stare in awe at the so-called "rich-boy" (as put by other posters from losing teams) fans as we cheered our team on tremendously to three more runs. Big up to JJ for a stellar crack of the bat, Scooter BOO for his assistance with a smile, and most of all I would like to once again praise our shining stud on the field, future Tarheel-Robert Woodard. For a game well pitched, I would just have to ask him to rest up for the first game we play in Mudcat stadium, which I will definately be at. Also big up to my boy RC Ryan Cooke and Logan Smith who about got whooped by yours truly today. But anyway players and fans, be ready for Friday, its our last chance this year to show our home field and fans how great our Mustangs are before we head for Zebulon.

Well said GOPGovnah, You'll get my vote any day! Only one thing
though...as baseball tradition (superstition) would have it, no mentioning the the particular activities of the weekend of June 6-8 or the stadium located on hwy 97 in eastern NC until it is appropriate. We have a game to win Friday night. Go Mustangs! You can do it!!!! We love you and our fans!!!!
