    Predictions

    North Forsyth vs Myers Park

Both teams have only allowed 1 run to their opponents in the past 3 games. North Forsyth has deeper pitching but less hitting. This one should be a great game. I favor Myers Park, just because of their hitting.

    JH Rose vs Fuquay-Varina

Two teams that have it all. Both teams hit and both teams have deep pitching staffs. It just depends on who is "hot" on game day. I expect FV to win based on having two 90+ guys available to go this game.

CB Aycock vs East Chapel Hill

Aycock is the top standing seed in the the 3A ranks, but ECH has quality wins over Glenn and South Alamance. I expect Aycock will pull this one out.

    Piedmont vs Ashbrook (Pick 'em)

Two teams that can (normally) hit the ball ..... hard. Contest to see who's pitching is best that day. I really don't know enough about Piedmont to predict this one.

    Ledford vs East Rutherford

Ledford has been excellent this year. ER has Covington and Flack. I'm going with the ER guys to repeat out of the west.

East Columbus vs South Guilford (Pick 'em)

Two unranked teams that kept knocking off others. Will be interesting to see who comes out on top.

    Hendersonville vs South Stokes

South Stokes has come out of a lot of tough battles in the NW1A this season. Hendersonville may have met it's match (and then some). I expect SS to come out on top.

    Topsail vs Ayden-Grifton/Farmville Central

AG/Farmville play on Thursday. If Farmville wins, it will face the task of playing it's 3rd game in 3 days on friday. Topsail would probably win that one easily. AG is rested, so playing back-to-back won't be as much of a problem. Topsail has a slight edge in this one I think.

Let's remember the facts that North has faced 3 #1's so far in the

tourney. A tough task for any team in the states. This team is

loaded with hitters from top to bottom. A team BA of .320, 20 HR's from 8 different players. This aint just a team full of pitchers.

Add that up with a stingy defense and excellent coaching to get a true state play-off contender.

    North Forsyth vs Myers Park

    Myers Park Myers Park

Myers Park Plays North Forsyth on friday. First of all, Myers Park is going to win by a landslide; our pitching is unbelievable, our batting is just as good, and our fans are ruthless. So whatever North Forsyth Players read this get ready for a loooooooooong game.

Id like to hear some input from some other people about how badly they think MP is going to beat North Forsyth.

    And GO MP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

whos pitching for FV? FV does have some gus with some heat but that just makes the ball go farther. i think the difference in offense gives Rose the edge. Rampants live up to their #1 ranking this time.

    Rose @ Fuquay

Who agrees with me that this is the game of the year in North Carolina? Two of the state's top programs goin head to head in the Eastern Finals. Probably the two best teams, I don't know much about the Western teams, but I know how good these two teams are, it will be one heck of a game.

I think Fuquay's pitching, will be a little too much for the Rose offense. But if it turns into an offensive battle (which it could, Fuquay is a pretty small ballpark compared to most... and the balls will fly outta there), Greenville Rose could come out on top.

My guess... Fuquay 5, Rose 3

Fuquay is on a roll right now. They've givin up 1 run durin the playoffs while scoring like 20 somethin. And they have played some good ball teams.

    I just hope its close!

Every one keeps forgetting that the Rose pitchers are pretty good two. Keep in mind that they have spun at least two no-hitters this year, and several other shutouts. They also go four deep (four very good) on the mound.

Aside from the pitching, it will be interesting how Rose performs in a small ballpark. Sometimes a short fence can tease you into swinging for the fence, rather than playing your game.

All of the remaining 4A games could be pitchers duels. The staffs of all 4 teams are ranked duo's by Impact.

It's going to come down to: Who's hot

i cant remember the dimensions, but left and right are both pretty short. Left Field has a "monster" that keeps some balls in, but the balls really do sail outta there most nights. Right field has a short fence, that could be generous to any lefties for Rose, but it is hard to take Honeycutt or McLaurin deep, on any field.
