First round summary has been updated with matchups/home teams for round #2.....

I have also merged all of the playoff scores into this thread.

Please note your schedule changes (i.e. Thursday instead of Friday because of graduations, etc) here....

    Thanks everyone.

    SC will love the ending

Here is how the SC Emeck game ended: Top of 7th. Hill leads off with a walk. Neal sac bunts. White goes down with a K. Teague beats out a bang bang infield hit where the call could go either way. Hill on 3rd, Teague on 1st. Gehringer @ plate, pressure builds. Pitcher throws fastball 2 feet short of the plate, past the catcher. Hill breaks to tie the game, catcher wheels to find the ball. Hill halfway home. Ball carooms off brick wall and right into the catcher's mitt. The world goes super slow motion a la Matrix. Fans, players, umpires stunned. Hill tagged out to end the game, set and match.

AlBDUN34 , Ragsdale plays with several juniors and sophs also.
Chad Baker might be a junior , because he played for the Jamestown Jaguars when they won the AAU 15u National Championships a couple of years ago, as did many of the other players also.

sorry it took me so long. Chad Baker is a junior and he is as tough a DB on the football fiield as he is a pitcher. He made lots of huge hits and INTs last fall. Most of Ragsdale's core players are seniors but there are several good underclassmen most notably Baker and Alex Sink who plays 2nd base. Can't wait to see them go against NW Cabbarus although with all this damn rain it ain't gonna happen Friday

The JHRose game was not particularly close. It's interesting that everyone talks about the Rose bats but does not mention the pitching.

Thus far in the playoffs, Rose has given up 1 run, 6 hits, walking 3 and 19Ks. Pretty good stuff for two games.

This is not a one-dimensional team.

Wossa, sorry I haven't been able to respond to your last private message, but for some reason, the PM's aren't working now. I guess NCBBALLFAN is finally in the process of revoking me (ha).

Anyway, after you told me where you were standing at the Kann/Rags game, I believe we were very close to each other. I wish I had known. Anyway, you guys have a very good team, I especially liked your catcher's (Whitted) arm,,, Kunte has excellent quickness at short, and the Baker kid pitched an excellent game for you. Good luck against NW Cabarrus, but I'll have to pull for the locals in that one. Sorry. the Wufman...

    Hey Nuf ....

East Columbus over Clinton must be a bit of a surprise ....

Topsail over Pamlico pretty much went as expected I guess.

Wuffie .... except for trying to start things up with the SPC, I wouldn't revoke you .... just make you stand in the corner of left field.
