Is there anyone, maybe" Pop" , that could tell us how the wildcard teams are going to be determined for playoffs?Have noticed some teams that are playing good ball as of late, but may not finish 1st or 2nd in conf.

Best win percentages get in as the wild cards. This favors those who schedule the weakest teams!

If that's the case ,they won't last long.Strength of schedule should be taken into consideration.I know it's hard to make the big decisions.

    Wild Cards

betterbatter is correct on the way "wild cards" will be determined this year. The teams with the best winning percentages will get the spots. The NCHSAA has proposed expanding the playoff numbers next year to 48 teams from each classification. They are also contemplating a seeding system for the East and West next year. I believe those will be excellent changes if they can get it done. But for this year, some of those teams who scheduled a weak schedule looking to get in might may a quick exit. It doesn't take long in the playoffs to see if you have what it takes or not.
