Xtreme will be holding tryouts Saturday August 11th at 1:00. We are moving up to 14u this fall. This team has a core group of players that have been together for at least three years. We have a dedicated, veteran third party coach with 20 years of fastpitch coaching experience. He has also had great success at the 3A high school level with 2 state championships. We are lookig for an additional catcher with experience and also an infielder or outfielder and/or pitcher. If you are looking for for a quality team for you daughter to learn more about the game and be treated with respect from the other players, coaches, and parents, this will be a great opportunity! We have had very little turnover in the past few years. We will gladly hold individual tryouts this week if you can't make it on the 11th. For more information contact Russell at

The Carolina Dirt Dobbers 10U team, located out of the Iredell Co./Statesville area, is moving up to 12U in 2008 and we are in the process of planning a fall tryout. We are interested in girls with their dates of birth being in 1996. We want a team of girls all the same age so we will not have girls changing divisions at different times. We will all move up together at the same time. Adding new players every year does not allow for a team with continuity. We want a team that can stay together through the years! Carolina Cardinals 18U-Chandler Open Tryouts

The 18U Caroilna Cardinals managed by Ray Chandler, will be holding open tryouts for the 2008 Summer season on Saturday , August 25, from 3:00 to 5:00 PM at Ronald Reagan High School, 3750 Transou Rd. in Pfafftown, NC (near Winston-Salem). Registration will begin at 2:30

In case of inclement weather and/or unplayable fields, the rain date will be the next day, Sunday, August 26 – same time and location.

Each year, the Cardinals put together a fall team that competes in the months of September and October before finalizing the roster for the following summer – in this case, the summer of 2008. The fall season is our "spring training" and, at the same time, an evaluation period.

We are looking for players who have a genuine love of the game and a
passion to play ..... and, at the same time, players who have the desire to compete at the national level and play softball in college. The key word being “compete”... we are always looking for competitors.

Because of the Cardinal's 20-year reputation with college coaches, few teams receive more visibility or exposure during the course of the Fall and Summer seasons, however this is not a “showcase” team per se.

This team is put together each and every year with the goal of competing for the NC ASA State and ASA National Championships, as well as for the prestigious Independence Day Tournament in Boulder, CO. (Over 350 college coaches attend this tournament each year). For 7 consectutive years, the Cardinals have earned berths and competed 18U ASA National Championship. In 2006, we won the National Championship and came away with a fourth place finish this year. We have placed in the top ten in other years.

Each year, our roster consists of players not only from North Carolina, but Virginia, and South Carolina who want become a part of the Cardinal tradition – 20 years of excellence in fastpitch softball at the 18U level.

Being a part of this team is a serious commitment, but at the
same time a very rewarding experience when all is said and done. It is all about being the best that you can be – and in doing so, taking your game to another level and competing against the top programs in the country, year-in and year-out.

Coastal NC New 12U Team

New 12U team in the Morehead City / Emerald Isle NC area will hold tryouts from 9:00 am to 11:00 am on Saturday, August 25th and Saturday September 1st at the Western Park Softball field in Cape Carteret. All positions need to be filled with emphasis on quality pitchers.

This team is a start up team being led by a proven, successful high school coach that does not have a daughter on the team. We are looking for young ladies that are willing to work hard and develop the skills that it takes to compete not only on the field, but in all aspects of life.

We will compete in our first tournament in Mid to late September and continue into the fall and then the summer ot 2008.
