Well you have Enka & Fred T. Foard who are not even leading there conference and ranked over the teams who are. This is why I asked POP about adding the Win Loss records for these teams. Because it is odvious that some of these coaches don't have a clue who they are voting for? They have no idea who is winning and who has losses. Currently Enka has 2 conference losses. This makes no sense at all??????

Thats the reason I questioned who actually votes on a weekly basis? It really doesn't mean anything because its obvious that win/loss records and opponents aren't factored. Typical politics.

But I will agree that the eventual final four teams in Raleigh are currently in the top 10 list, regardless of the order.

Exactly, they don't mean a whole lot but it is suppost to be teams consistantly playing well week after week and playing good teams, but remember it's a coaches poll, who is suppost to know teams better?
    that's why i question it.
I do agree that the teams listed in the top 10 will be at the dance in the end.
I'm glad they do the polls though, it gives us parents something to talk about........:N1yeeaah::N1yeeaah:

    I'll be honest...

I voted them up there. They are undefeated and they are good, bottom line. Orr has all the tools and gives them the chance to win each & every game just as Ward & Jefferies did. Butler never lacks for top-tier pitching. Their SS is one of the best defenders around. She makes plays to the hole better than anyone & quietly competes harder than anyone. In a 1-1 game with us a couple nights ago she dove head first into 1B just to beat the throw for a single, if that doesn't say she is competitive & wants it, what does? Effort speaks for itself. They are solid at every single position. Just because they had some players graduate, especially Ashton, does not mean they necessarily lost a step. Yes Ashton was a great pitcher & she is absolutely proving herself at the next level, but why does that automatically pull props or respect from them when they can back it up again? Whatever happens will happen, but for now they are at the very least a top three in NC.

I think the polls come from strength in schedule and more than likely how they've done in past yrs...but it all comes down to who makes it to raleigh. The polls aren't going to get you there! Enka has been ranked 1-2 in past yrs and it didn't get them there.

Polls are fun and can be a good motivator for teams, but IMO Butler being defending champs, and still undefeated,( only 1 in top 10) they should be holding the 1 spot. From 2-10 it's anybodies till playoff time. Can't wait for playoffs, will be real interesting. Going out on a limb but 2 Meca 7 teams will be at the Creek this yr. The only poll that matters is the last.

    Fred T Foard

Fred T Foard has a 12-1 conference record and a 16-2 overall record. Fred T Foard has scored 188 runs and allowed only 19 in 18 games. Also just heard St Stephens got beat today by Hibriten ????? If correct that would make a tie for first with Foard facing St Stephens Next Tuesday at Fred T Foard at 7:00. If there are questions as to what Fred T Foards goal is then you should come watch them play
