    Wow

What a great story about this young lady (haven't even heard of her until this year). Wish her all the best and just maybe we will see AC (Wilkinson) vs Porter Ridge (Davis) match-up on down the road. I would have to put my money on AC (Wilkinson) at this point just because of the experience. I really believe Wilkinson will choose her College one of these days also. Anyway love hearing about great pitchers from NC, keep up the hard work.

No you were being flip, everyone here is not stupid.

I think you need a reading comprehension lesson- and a couple others could join you. I did not imply she is RIGHT NOW the best player. I said "physically" she is potentially the greatest 2 way "prospect." Major difference especially if you know the first thing about athletics.

I think an sec school locking her down in 10th grade backs my theory

You need a "team" to win a state title.

    You are correct.

    Metro:
You are correct. I defer to your obvious expertise around youth, high school, and college (D1, I believe) athletics.

Great height, great weight, great bat, great arm, great parents, great kid, great player, great family, great physical specimen, great grades, great prospect, great future, great team, great work ethic, great thread, great balls of fire, etc.

Again, I wish her all the luck in the world as she pursues her softball dreams. It will be fun to watch her over the next few years to see if she can secure her place with the "great ones." It is rare air where she appears to be headed. I look forward to seeing her play at Walnut Creek...perhaps vs. AC's Wilkinson, as was suggested earlier.

My "reading comprehension" may not rank up there with the average TBR reader, however, I'd still intentionally walk her and make somebody else beat me!

Thanks for bringing her to our attention. I never would have seen Chelsea Leonard if people hadn't been talking about her. Now, if she's in the area I wouldn't miss her. Great player!!

Tell Lexi to aim high. Never let naysayers muddy her chance to be the best she can be. Keep us posted when and where she's playing.

And you're not the first to be assed with on here but thankfully it's few and far between.

    Metro/Phreaky-Phreak:
You guys are too easy to mess with. Very sensitive, indeed.

Look at the bright side. You wanted publicity? You GOT IT!!!
Over 1600 hits because people are tuning in for the banter. It'll be well over 2,000 hits before Cheeze or Dawgfan locks it up!

Nobody is "nay-saying" this player. Not at all.
It started as a good thread. Then, the presentation of the material got a bit awkward. It was not the intent of the message. It was how it was presented that raised some folks curiosity and solicited banter.

Again, looking forward to following her in the coming years.
I'm off the subject now and will let it ride.

    On Target

It seems it's often not enough to recognize talent on this board. While metro's opinion is his, and perhaps valid, there is a tendency here to declare players 'best prospect ever' or the 'best hitter ever' (or, even worse, 'she throws 70 mph!) far too often. Better to document the child's achievement and let time show who the so-called 'bests are'.

While I agree with much that has been said, it's a shame that one's intention to give a spotlight to an obviously talented young lady was tainted over one's opinion of her talent level. Whether one agreed with the opinion or not, this was not the thread to debate about it.

Geez...a thread that was started to give kudo's turned into an embarrassment for the young lady.
