The Randolph County Post 45 and former Southwestern Randolph High School OF has received his release from Mars Hill College and accepted Coach Mark Hayes offer to play baseball at Pfeiffer University in the 2008 season. Marsh lost his granfather a few weeks back and decided he wanted to be closer to home and family.

He has said Coach Hayes was very impressive, the financial package superb, and the fact that the head coach handled the business versus sending out an assistant carried alot of weight.

Ethan left SWRHS as its 2006 MVP with all-area honors as he put the finishing touches on a career batting average of .454. He hit right at .400 for the Post 45 this past season with 8HRs and led them with 39 post-season hits. Wicked offensive stats for a kid that is better known for his glove and that cannon arm. He was a Northern Division starting OF in this years Area 3 All-Star game at Finch Field in Thomasville, and appeared in 3 games on the mound in the Area 3 championship series against Rowan County, notching a win, a save, and closing out the 9th inning during Randolph's title clinching game 6 as they advanced to Garner. He will return to the Post 45 for one more season in 2008.

Pfeiffer is getting a big-time player that can flat get it done!

    :clapclap:Congrats E-Money!!!!!:clapclap:

I am very happy for Ethan. His circumstances, unfortunately, is not something all too uncommon. It is great that he found an opportunity to keep playing baseball at the same time solving his concern of being closer to home. Coach Hayes has a terrific program and it appears it just got stronger.
