    No JV

    Newton-Conover had 15 make it out today plus 3 basketball/ 1 cheerleader to come out after basketball is over. We were told no jv, only one team by the head coach. Final tryout day tomorrow and then hope for the best. Not sure about cuts yet as the head coach will have final say.

    DD just came back from Central Cabarrus tryouts and said only 16 young ladies tried out for both varsity and jv. Thought there would be more than that.

    first day blues, 19 at practice, six at basketball, 10 out with the flu and four at the hunter huss/gaston day/bobcats/lakers games and two injured.....what will tommorrow bring?????

    welcome hot diggety dog to this board rocks softball forum, hope more come out for cc....sometimes they just dont get the message about tryouts....

    30 girls at Hopewell tryouts. Was worried that there wouldn't be enough come out to make a JV squad, but that has been solidly put to rest. Very solid group returning from last year, and also a good group of young freshman talent. Looking forward to some great games this Saturday at the Freedom Scrimmages in Morganton. Play Ball!!
