    how disappointing is it to think you are having a JV team going in and then not have the #'s needed?

    Butler had about 30 today with two or three sick and five in basketball
    Not sure of how many on each squad yet.

    I would guess that some were in Basketball but I wonder how Hickory Ridge affected that number.

    Had 16 or 17 I heard, then 4 in basketball.

    May have to recruit one or two to finish the JV team.

    Varsity will be solid.

    We had 17 at JV try-outs and 11 at varsity tryouts

    6 players missing due to basketball for both teams

    Had 26 present for tryouts, 5 at basketball, 1 senior out of town, and we think 2 or 3 more who need physicals. Record turnout for Parkland and a major surprise. Varsity will be about what we expected even though we found out we lost our 3 year all-conference P/OF who decided not to come back for her senior year. Now's our time if we're going to do anything got 6 senior starters this year. JV will be MUCH improved (well can't help that much, won 2 games in 2 years) and very pleased with turnout especially since we haven't had a JV until 2 years ago. Not extremely talented bunch but will be an enjoyable and coachable bunch. Can't ask for much more. :FOFRBanana0518HL:

    From what my DD says 15 at the first day of tryouts, 2 at drivers ed, 3 in basketball, and 4 expected to show - which would put us at 24. DD has heard a couple of prior players will be ineligible due to # of days absent (14 excused/unexcused absences & no sports). Coach decided not to tryout based on the numbers that showed yesterday. Will have tryouts today, weather permitting - but with the forecasts we may seriously be looking at Thursday before our first real tryout begins.

    NINE............thats all! Have one out with torn ACL, yep, Basketball. Also, have five still playing basketball. No JV team this year. Anyone want to move to Catawba County?:N1Idontgetit:

    well we had a total of 50 girls sign up for tryouts a few decided not to come out but still a good crowd yesterday and today even with 5 in basketball and one in cheerleading. It looks like we will be having a large class this year 30 girls 15 on each squad. ............hey we can have our own intrasquad round robin tournaments lol
