I had to jump in on this one. I know that everybody gets tired of reading or hearing about CC...I just move on to the next post or thread when that happens but I will give CC this. They go out and play the toughest teams that are available to them to play and for this they are not hiding behind their record by playing easy teams. Making this observation does not make me a CC fan but I respect the fact that they will risk getting beat by playing the best teams and therefore become a better team. CC could just play the teams in their conference and other local teams only and if so they would never get the ranking they have achieved. USA also recognizes strength of schedule. Spring or Fall....

I would think you can compare them just as easily if they were playing at the same time or not. Since hardly any west coast teams (hs) play CC or any other teams in the east it doesn't really change anything. Its all guess work. It is an honor to be recognized in the USA today paper if only in the fact that they know where CC is located. But, I doubt if they spend much time if any at all really evaluating any of these teams. I totally agree that it would be great to play HS ball in the fall but considering the attitudes of the powers that be in NC sports I doubt if that ever happens. Those players playing volleyball would be ineligible and vice versa. Remember we were one of the last states to switch over to fastpitch because they didn't want our babies getting hurt...

    Owen @ Forbush

    Owen 0
    Forbush 2

    No earned runs

    WP - Lauren Harris 7k's; 2 HBP; 2BB?
    LP - Shelby English 8k's; 0BB

Forbush capititalized on the many Owen errors.Great job by Breanne Przestrelzelski gunning down runners trying to steel. Both pitchers did a great job.

I am not saying anyone is jealous here, nor did i predict any victories. But i just wanted to say a great thanks to the Central Cabarrus team especially all 5 seniors who set the bar at a new level, they have set severl records and had numerous accomplisments and not only are great talents on the field but great ladies off the field as well. You will talents and leadership will truely be missed. Good luck to all in your future and continued success at the next level.

114-5 record, 4 conference championships 4 conference tournaments and 2 state championships in 4 years for the seniors, something some of us may never accomplish in a lifetime.
