JM Robinson vs. NW

Game stopped in bottom of third inning due to lightening. JMR leading 6-2. The game is scheduled to be completed tomorrow at 4:30. Not sure if game will start where left off or start over.

 

Cox Mill 9 A L Brown 3

at Cox Mill the Chargers bats finally came to life up and down the lineup. Travis Watkins pitched 6 strong innings for the win and also homered. Sean Monaghan & Garrin Freeze each contributed 3 hits each to help lead the Chargers offense.

 

Seager is a great hitter, no one would dare argue that. But he does make outs and he can be pitched to, if you asked him he would tell you what pitches he struggles with but since he wouldn't do that, its up to the opponent to know. I do know that anything up in the zone that's a strike will be launched, he goes with high pitches very well. Try a fastball over the plate or anywhere inside and its the same result, but he tends to try and pull everything at times which most lefthanded hitters do. So a LHP with good movement on his FB and a good slider or slurve has had success, as have pitchers who change speeds a lot. So its difficult but not impossible to get him out. Bottom line is ya have to try because with their lineup, ya just can't put him on like before. IDK but IMO with Perry and Kroener, JRob has best 1-2 punch in the SPC and NWC has a loaded lineup and that's what makes this a great matchup, maybe a preview of not only the SPC title but the NCHAA West State title as well. Bet concession stand were selling hotdogs 2 for a dollar tonight after rain started... huh TJ

 

Game is declared suspended and will start with exact point it left off, a game can be deemed complete after 5 or 4-1/2 if home team leads. Good I can catch last inning or 2... hey JD tell'em t o wait on me!

Agree on JMR having best 1-2 punch in league...

Hmm, as for these same 2 teams meeting in western finals, both still have a lot of work to do. Pitching is there for JMR to make a nice playoff run, but not sure about their hitting yet. NW has the ace and great team hitting, but they're still looking for a solid #2 pitcher.

 

Eldon Peters started and was hit pretty hard. Not sure of the second pitcher who came in and finished up.

 

Hopefully I can catch the end of todays game and cant believe not one mention of a hotdog.....
