    Worst 2 I've ever seen were in Michigan (my home state).

    Zeeland Chix (yep, for guys AND girls sports) - near Grand Rapids

    And the best of all time....the Watersmeet Nimrods (seriously...look it up).

    Good old days....


    I wanted to forget about that College I attended.......since I got kicked out for dating all my teachers.....MAN what a great school. Once I left the school they changed the name to Hopewell Catholic Community Juco.

    these 2 new high schools will open this fall in Johnston Co.

    same schools, etc / different era

    YES, interestingly both these schools are keeping the same names, colors, & mascots as the former schools in the same general areas that consolidated into larger schools about 40 - 45 years ago!! nice deal.

    my old college roommate was a kannapolis WONDER. what about Atkins Camels??? being from winston i guess everyone knows where that name probably came from. they re-used the old name atkins had before coming a middle school back during the integration years.

    not to mention CATAMOUNTS

    High School Mascots

    My high school team was (and still is) the Danbury Hatters. Our town turned out mens hats for years and years until it went out of style. Our mascot was a beaver. Braves, are you from Rippowam in Stanford, Ct.?
