    Providence is 13-2 Overall (6-0 SW4A)

PHS jumped on Olympic for 6 runs in the bottom of the first and went on to win 6-0. South Meck was all over Myers Park, scoring 15 runs in the first two innings to set the stage for their KEY SW4A Matchup next Tuesday night April 12 @ 7pm v Providence. The GAME will be played @ PHS...

Hahaha...no respect? Cory Dunning, Keith Mauney and Scism are studs and well known. Their catcher, Moore, has signed with Tennessee. Semunik (sp) is a monster..I like Mailman a lot. The pitching with Bellesevere (sp) and Eric Sommerville is very good.

There are a lot of new players for Providence this year. Although they have an extremely talented underclassmen, those underclassman will have to prove themselves on the varsity level...as I am sure they will.

I watched the Providence vs North Meck game and saw a field full of potential. My thoughts are that as we get to the end of the conference games, the young players will have plenty of experience and will no longer be thought of as "young players"..but as another reloading Providence team ready for the playoffs.

:umno: Gbacks21....we're not buying that Providence "no respect" stuff. Your guys are well known and nobody will take them lightly.

This is my 8th year with a son (no , one didnt flunk a lot; I have 2 sons!!!) in the Sw4a and I am not buying the "no respect" stuff anyone would have towards Providence either. They always have ample talent to make a deep run. They certainly do this year.

BTW: I have believed since 1998 that THE best rivalry in this state is the South Meck-Providence baseball matchup. When they play, the air is electric (Pllugged into it last year and got a free shave, a sunburn & a milkshake!!) It is more enhanced now than ever as Highnight coached most of the S Meck guys. No respect? No way.
