Prayer request

    Bad news from the Piedmont/Providence/Hopewell scrimmage yesterday. Austin Ring, the older brother of senior centerfielder Landon from Piedmont was killed in a motorcycle accident one block from Hopewell. He had ridden up to watch the game and left early. He was struck by someone with a revoked license who then fled the scene. I coached this young man from the time he was about 10, and was sitting with his father when they told him the news. He was only 21. Please keep this family in your thoughts and prayers.

    Our Prayers are with the Ring family in this terrible loss. I wouldnt know what to say. I had the opportunity to be around Landon this summer and fall... wonderful young man and a credit to his family as I have heard Austin was. It made me go home and hug my daughter tonight and tell her I love her. We cant take anything for granted.

    My prayers are with the family and friends of this young man. Life is so uncertain and way to short. Please say a prayer for his family and keep them in your thoughts.

    My sympathy...

    what terrible circumstances, and news. If it is at all any consolation just try and take comfort your son is in a MUCH better place... My deepest to you and your entire family.

    My prayers are also with them. My daughter has been attending church with them and when she called to tell us about it Sunday night she was very tore up. We had just returned from visiting her in Charlotte and was hoping to meet the young man at church Sunday morning. Seems they had become very close friends. So I have her in mine too. He was a fine young man. Receiving tonite and funeral on Wednesday.
