    Why do such bad things happen to such good people?
    Our thoughts and prayers are with the Pope family & the entire Storm Organization which we can proudly say we were a part of.

    I highly recommend that you go to the caring bridge site if you have not already. It is so uplifting to read the posts and see how many visitors have been to the site (almost 3000 already). Post your love and best wishes to Pope and the entire family in the guestbook. I know Paula is reading it to her!! And let Paula and David know that they are in thoughts and prayers too. SO happy to hear the positive news this afternoon on Ashlyn. She is such a tough cookie!! God is Great, He hears prayers and He knows where there is Love! And it is most definitely surrounding this wonderful young lady!

    I havnt met ashyln and I'm not sure of who she is. Zeus friends sir some of my friends and I've Also found myself thinking bout her throughout the day. I hope they are able to get her back soon. I mmiss the softball field for I e weekend much less many. I'm praying for constantly and here family and friends.

    UPDATE

    Thursday, October 29, 2009 9:34 AM, EDT
    The surgeons talked with Paula this morning; the surgery on the ankle and wrist are still scheduled for tomorrow morning-- if there is no high fever. Her current temperature is 100.2. Ashlyn is very alert but continues to have the pain. The pain pump is helping relieve her pain and allowing her to stay awake and alert. She had a very active night and has her nights and days mixed up. They will work with her today to keep her awake so this can be corrected. Also, they will begin breathing treatments to keep her lungs from becoming congestive.
    Paula seemed more encouraged today. She finally took time to get a few hours of rest. She reminds me every day that they are aware of the prayers of God’s people. Please continue to pray for Ashlyn and the family
