Premier Girls Fastpitch vs. ASA

    Premier Girls Fastpitch (PGF) was created as an alternative/competitor of ASA, targeting the ASA GOLD classification. 2010 is the first PGF National championship and it's making a big statement.

    Of the top 16 teams in the 2009 ASA GOLD National championship, only 3 are returning to play in the 2010 ASA GOLD National. Of those same 16 teams, 13 will be playing in 2010 PGF National.

    Also, PGF has also partnered with ESPN Rise to sponsor their championship.

    Two Carolina teams, the Cardinals and the Lady Lightning Gold are participating in the 2010 ESPN RISE/PGF National Championship Aug 9-14. Best of luck to both!
