Great weekend for ball in Burlington. Spent most of the weekend running but did get to see some good games even if it was COLD late and early. Great to see and speak with all the TBR group and always a pleasure to talk to Windmllr even if it was for the briefest of times. And as usual the GURU is THE MAN.
Been trying to find time to post and thank everyone who helped Morgan and I at Statesville last weekend. From the directors, Amanda and Howard, to the Twisters especially my sis Steph who absolutely hates blood but was out there wiping as much as she could up, to the umps, to that wonderful lady with the Carolina Blitz who had all the gauze and the wonderful demeanor. She was able to not only get Morgan calmed down but me too!!! lol As anyone who saw her this weekend saw, she has the stitches out and looks much better and it's perfectly in the eyebrow line so the scar won't show (even though i told her that her modeling days were long gone anyway with how her legs are scarred up). She went to Elon's pitching camp last night to throw for the first time since and looked just like her old self. Again, i don't know how to express how grateful we are to EVERYONE that helped and looked after us. I think not only the applause when she got up and walked out on her on, but the standing ovation she got from the 14U game beside of us as we walked to the ambulance made the pain go away for a little while at least. THANKS EVERYONE SAMMIE AND MORGAN

    Situations

This weekend in Burlington was great. And, there was a nice showing of D1 recruiters there, paying alot of attention. These 2009 are a very healthy group of girls that are GREAT!
I personally liked the format of situation playing. It really showcased the experience and knowledge of the girls. Tested the coaches alittle too. JMO. Had a GREAT TIME. Always 1 of the prettiest parks, good conscessions ran by college girls. Great atmosphere... one of my fav tournments,, and I've been around this year. haha.
Prayers are with Casey Johnson and all our softball family in troubled times...

We currently have 7 freshman, 4 sophmores, and one junior. They played great this weekend in Burlington. Scored 28 runs and allowed 4. Record for the weekend 4-0-1. Theses are a special group of young ladies on and off the field.

    GO CURVE!

    I Agree !!!

I'll have to agree, this young bunch of kids are one to contend with in 2008....kind of reminds me of the Constance / Kenya Era back in the early 2000's when that awesome Carolina Curve were unstoppable...GURU
