Proposed Conferences

Did anyone see them in the Independent Tribune today? A coach from Maiden put this plan together. I had trouble understanding it, but in Cabarrus County he had Central, NW, AL Brown, Mount Pleasant, Concord, W. Stanly, Albemarle, N. Stanly, JM Robinson, and S. Stanly. Thats two 1A schools, three 2A schools, four 3A schools, and one 4A school all in the same conference. Can anyone shed any light on this?

Money maybe........travel or both, but that type of conference is unlikely. I would love to see the higher and lower class MIX in a truely area conference but thats NCHSAA's call!

don't remember exactly what their conference looked like, but this coach is also a high ranking offical on the board and was taking his plan to the board. he also had 12 teams from charlotte all in the same conference. it was pretty neat and i really like the idea.

 

reallignment time.............alot of plans and numbers to be shuffled during the next few months, as usual every four years here in NC?????? Looking forward to seeing it unfold.......Again! Thanks budman!
