Prospect Camps

    Can anyone provide any feedback on the Top Guns and Showball Baseball prospect camps? Thanks!

    2 Ragsdale players went to Top Gun in Vegas and they said they loved it. One was a pitcher and ghe got a 25 pitch bullpen with lots of D1 coaches watching. And this is a lefty that tops out about 80. Both kids and parents commented that there were tons of major school scouts there. Both have played showcase and commented they had never seen so many coaches. I have no personal knowledge of tehse myself. But both felt like it was worth the money.

    On the other side of the equation I remember what a coach here told me. He said until you are one of the very top kids locally and in your state why worry about going national? My son may go to one next year but my feelings are he should not go until he is ready. I feel like if he is going to get noticed he better be doing something well. Over the summer I heard so many kids/parents worried about being seen. My thought was if your not playing worth a dern why would you want to be seen?
