Question about contact letters

    Enlighten me ....

    I have no clue what a contact letter is. Is this something that everyone needs to write?

    Real briefly, the majority of kids moving on need to contact the colleges they are interested in and actively start the recruitment process. The Blue Chip players get pursued particularly if you are a pitcher. But for the most part players should be letting coaches know they are interested in playing ball at the particular school they are interested in. Your son in the spring of his Junior year should be writing or emailing coaches letting them know he his interested. On almost every college's athletic website you should also be able to find a recruiting questionaire, fill those out and follow up to make sure they were received.
