I'll 2nd that vote!! In our area she is the standard for measure!!! Her dominance has been the topic of many conversations. When coaches tell of picking up signs and and relaying EVERY pitch and location to the hitter, and they still can't put it in play.....that's impressive.JMHO

    Hmm...

There are several seniors, hard to narrow. Ashton Ward, Chelsea Leonard, 2 Blues pitchers. Emma Stevenson from CC..Maness from SWR is really good.

I have one in 8th grade, lives up in Thomasville that I will take over any other underclassman right now (11th grade down).

Look out for her, Kristen Murphy.:60:

If there is an eighth grader who is better than Maness, Ward, Watson, and Peavey...all sophomores then that kid is a PHENOM!! I don't know too much about Maness and Ward, but I know right much about Watson and Peavey..they both throw an assortment of pitches and throw in the low to mid 60s. Is the Murphy kid going to play softball at Thomasville? She may be the one that turns that program around...I hope she does.

I will tell you that there is a kid that plays for the Porter Ridge Middle School, probably 5'-6" or taller, and is only a seventh grader throwing in the middle to upper 50's that Christen Bowen is working with that has potential to be another Ashton Ward if she continues to work hard. I can't wait to see her as a Freshman in high school, if she can develop a good rise ball and drop ball, you just might see her name in the paper every week --------remember the name " Alexis ".....Guru.............:60:

I'll Tell You What I Have Seen !!!

I've seen Maness doing walk-ups with her dad, and just about throw the distance of a football field underhand...that's how strong she is and a great pitcher with one heck of a drop ball....:checkeredflag:.....Guru
