East Davidson will be tough to beat. Any team that has a power hitter like East's Paige Coleman will certainly put some runs on the board. East has several strong hitters in the line up, so it will a tough decision to try to pitch around Paige. It would not surprise me to if Paige sets new state HR and RBI season and career records before she graduates in 07.

    Questions about teams

West Rowan will field another strong team this year even though they have 1 player left from the state champ group & that's their pitcher. They should be a good hitting team, not as fast as they were before,& will be strong on defense again. They have some very good freshman in Stacey Raney,& Erin Foster who play for the Carolina Cobras travel team. They also have the Loflin sisters who transfered from East Rowan,so they will be solid.I do know that Stacey's one of the best 2nd basemen in the state, but will not be playing in that pos, as it's already locked up.She's a good enough athelete, that she can play bout anywhere. They'll be strong contenders for NPC conf. championship again. One thing though, they do not have Ray Graham as head coach this year, but they will still be tough,& will be the next few yrs. East Rowan lost some good players from last year,& may go through some growing pains. But they have some talented atheletes there ,So they will be competitive. They also have a Cobra player,Morgan Peeler, who if given the opportunity to pitch some, may surprise some of these teams. The coach has made out a good competitive schedule for them,to prepare them for games that will count later on.I look for them to be up near the top of the NPC conf. also.Who knows, maybe this could be the yr, that the tide may turn within the county.I have found out that anyone can be beat on any given day, that's what so great bout this game! Good luck to all teams,& hope everyone has a safe season! Go Cobras !!!,& now Go Mustangs !!!!!

Central is always well coached and talented. Coaching on this team is worth 3-4 wins year then you add the talent...lookout!
