Question? REf: Co-Champions In a Tournament ?

    AAU plays under NFHS rules which is the rule set for HS Softball.

    NFHS rules allow the pitcher to start with her back foot off the rubber, but it must be within the width of the pitcher's plate.
    She may also take a step backwards, but the step must start before the hands come together.

    You don't see many pitchers do this in HS, but it is legal if they wish to do so.

    Concerning that 12U game, the team from the losers bracket had played it's 7th game in a row starting at 8am Sun. morning, after they beat the team from the winners bracket once to force a final game around 7:45pm, seems like they got there moneys worth and was a fair decision for all.
